My name is Jess. I am an author, a poet, a wife, a mother, and simply a human being trying to find meaning in this world I live. I live in Kansas, but am from a small town in Wyoming. I live with my husband and son. I love the challenge life offers in that it gifts me experiences to become more and more kind and more and more loving. There are times I fall flat on my face and times I soar, but what inspires me is sharing my raw, heartfelt truth–even when it’s “broken” or “ugly”. I am not perfect, and I am a mess-making machine, but aren’t we all? … and isn’t that what makes us all so beautiful? What if You Never Lost Your Light?
“May I Only Leave Rose Petals” is a composition of poetry about rediscovering the truth about one’s innate divinity in the face of great pain, darkness, fear, and separation. It is about coming Home. It is a journey to wholeness through nine main chapters—from “The Forgetting” to the “The Homecoming”. It is a catalyst to inspire, ignite, and lift people out of the darkness and into the light. It is about choosing love, again and again, to leave only rose petals.
Louix Dor Dempriey is a spiritual master dedicated to helping people remember and restore their inherent divinity. He has been instrumental in my life and has inspired me to become greater love. I invite you to check out his teachings to see if they resonant with you!
